Toby Stephenson – Director/Curator
Museum development, education programming, exhibits.

Toby received his BA in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic in ’98 with Secondary Science Education approval, and has taught at the Chewonki Foundation, MDI High School, and the Community School in Camden. He has been involved with Allied Whale operations since 1995, has worked as a naturalist for over 15 years in Maine, and is a licensed Captain.

Mindy Viechnicki – Museum Manager
Administration, sales and marketing, staff development

Mindy has a degree in Marine Sciences with a minor in Child Development from Hampshire College, has studied orca whale populations in the Northwest, and offshore-dolphin populations off the Florida coast. She also works as the Assistant Stranding Coordinator for Allied Whale and oversees their Adopt-a-Whale program.

Keri Hevner – Associate Manager
Museum gift shop, intern coordinator, Adopt-a-Whale

A graduate of the Western Washington University, Keri has been involved
with COA activities since 1996. She is currently a Masters candidate for non-profit management. She is also interested in public policy and loves classic Rock-n-Roll.

Judith Allen – Administrative Consultant
Administration, IT services

Judy Has been involved in the management of the museum since 2003. She Directs Computer Services at College of the Atlantic and manages the Humpback Whale Catalog for Allied Whale. Her long term involvement and experience with COA and AW lends itself to many aspects of the Whale Museum. She regularly consults and advises on museum operations and oversees all IT services. The museum is greatly indebted for her wisdom and volunteer support.
